On Nov 8, I had my birthday celebration in Mines Shopping Mall with my fellow course mates. About noon, we reached the destination and bought ticket to see Ninja movie before heading to KFC outlet to celebrate my birthday. It was quite boring watching the Ninja movie because the storyline could be predicted but we watched it for the purpose of filing the free time. After celebrating my birthday, most of us were busy chatting and the topics of conversation were varied. About 8pm, I reached my college and went to sleep at 12 something. Last year, I had my birthday celebration in Penang and this year I had it at Mines. Thanks to my fellow course mates who willing to spend their time to celebrate my birthday. Not to forget to say thank you to those who wishing me via hp or facebook.....

It feels great for coming back home before I'm going to battlefield for 2 more papers. Sem break is going to start soon and not sure how I'm going to spend it. For sure, I won't take part-time job and most probably I will watch TV dramas all day long. Luckily, I came back to Ipoh for one week because there will be no water supply in my college for several days. Cant imagine how dirty is the toilet because my wing got plenty of uncivilized toilet users who often don't empty the toilet bowls after they finished their business. I wonder if they will do the same at their homes. That's why I'm planning to move out after I complete my fourth sem. I'm keep on thinking why my r******* likes Jay Chou so much till his ring tone, message alert and not to forget his alarm also Jay Chou's song.

D Day

Really hard to describe my feeling right now....I miss the shoot again and this time is more severe...Perhaps I set my bar too high till it exceeds my capability and I realize that I'm not superior and I'm just like other humans as well. I have learn t my lesson and hope that there will be a brighter day for me.....

Myolie Wu 胡杏兒

I'm started to admire this actress when she got the chance to act in Wars of In Laws (我的野蠻奶奶) with Liza Wong (汪明荃). I commend her for the outstanding performance in this series and eventually this drama turned out to be the best drama in the year of 2005. Last year, I got to know that Neway Star company had signed her to become a singer and this new had created much heated debate among the netizens. Some said that TVB actresses should concentrate in acting only whilst the others received this new positively. After hearing the new, I'm really curious about her singing. Here is her 1st EP promotion ( Evolve):

I didn't buy the album but I'm really fall in love for her songs in the 1st EP such as Solo Travel (单身旅行) , Romance Century (浪漫世紀) and duet song with Vincent Wong (哪時此刻). At the end, she is the only TVB artistes who managed to grab the Best Newcomer Singer award from 4 prestigious Hong Kong awards presentation. Coming this November, she will be releasing her 2nd EP and there are several songs in the EP have been plugged such as Love Delusion (恋爱妄想) and Brigher Day (光明日).

Apart from that, she also get the chance to duet with many singers such as Kevin Cheng ( Have Intention - 有意), Bosco Wong ( Thankful for Meeting You - 感激遇到你) and Julian Cheung (Break Off - 一刀了斷). I hope that her upcoming albums will reach Gold album status (25,000 copies sold).

Update

The holidays will end tomorrow and yeah...just a norm that I didn't read the books that I brought home even though test 2 begins next week. Haha.....It feels great to meet my former classmates on last Sunday (1st day of Hari Raya) because I have not meet them quite some time and also get to know that they are doing well in their studies. Keep it up buddies......My ever best friend, Eric, will be going down to south for his industry training and I would like to wish him all the best during his training and take care. I'm sure it will be an amazing experience to him for having training there and hopefully I can get souvenir from him when he comes back to motherland. Haha...just joking....Another friend of mine (Jeff) really stunned me because he is getting more stylish nowadays and it is good to see his changes so that I'm able to emulate his steps. Coming this November, I will hit 21 years old and pray that I will graduate with a partner...Haha....maybe that's hard to achieve. To Zarul, I forget to wish you Hari RAya Aidilfitri....please forgive me....THat's all from me.....

2nd match debate..

I'm feeling good right now as my college K10 finally won the debate match today. There are still numerous matches to go and I hope the debaters including myself will keep the fighting spirits till the end . I'm venturing in debate when I was in my first year studies and I never dare to dream that I will become a debater one day as my grasp of language is not really that good. However, the drive of achieving victory spurred me on participating in debate. Today, I took a huge step where I become the second speaker of my team. The task is getting harder because my tone shouldn't be monotonous all the time and I need to rebut the comments made by opposition sides. Nevertheless, I think I'm managed to nail it. The motion of day is this house believes in affirmative action and I shall give you some time to digest the motion. To be continued.......

TvB Siu Sang and Fa Dan

Within two years, most of the TVB leading actors and actresses ( named as siu sang and fa dan) have released their albums and they are Raymond Lam (林峰), Bosco Wong (黄宗泽), Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Linda Chung (钟嘉欣) and now Kate Tsui (徐子珊). How successful they are in becoming singer? Hong Kong music companies are definitely clever and strategist because they know that these tvb actors and actresses do have a large fan base already and no matter how terrible their vocals or singing skills, their album sales will definitely surpass the gold mark ( 25,ooo copies) within a month after released. So far, we can see that Raymond Lam is the only one who able to sell at least 25,000 copies of his albums ( Searching For You In Loving Memories , Your Love and the least album Let's Get Wet) worldwide while others are still struggling to do so. Kudos to Raymond Lam again because recently his CD and DVD concert album had reached platinum status (50,000 copies) and it seems that Raymond Lam is doing well as a singer. Myolie Wu and Linda Chung will be releasing their album respectively in October and November and we will see how is the sale of their album. Personally, I like their new songs very much and they are :

No words for it

Yeah.. I just finished my test today and I would give myself score 7/10 for my performance in my test 1. Few week later, I shall having my test 2. Lately, I spent most of time doing lab reports and catching up the syllabus. These few days, I get mad because I'm not only re-do the whole technical reports but also get to hear some harsh words from someone about me. I'm not saying that I'm a perfect guy but in my whole life, I never heard someone saying bad things about me. The story is like this...this sem, I got three labs and got 3 different groups of people. For first group, I will call it a working team as we are complement with each other vey well, the second one, it is acceptable as there is one or two hardworking people in this group so I don’t have to worry much and for the last group, I would say horrible. You know why I said so is because I need to redo the whole technical reports even though I have distributed the works to them. The outcome was their works were unacceptable and I can't close one eye for this kind of works. I'm not aiming very high when coming to lad reports but at least it must meet the acceptable level. The funny thing is this...I'm glad when one of the member keep on asking me about how to write the abstract, introduction and theory of the experiment because they show to me that they start to take initiative to do their works. I was told that she had written on e page of abstract and 2 pages of introduction. To me that was great because she finally kicked off her laziness and finishing up her works. I got shocked when I got the soft copy from her.. .totally unexpected and felt cheated in the way that what she meant by a page is like writing only 3 sentences in a paragraph and double spacing with front size 14 for 2 pages. Oh my gosh...is she kidding because I thought she could have do better than this and plus this week is exam week so a lot of preparation need to be done.You expect me to do the whole report and at the end you're enjoying the same marks. Why I got such group??? In another group, there was a guy who got mad over me for no wrong reasons. Neither I utter bad words to him nor gossiping about him. All of sudden, he blamed me for saying his lacksicidal attitude in doing his report and to be honest I really sure that I didnt comment his work at all. So unfair to me and now he's uttering harsh words to me to hear. Really speechless now….I pray that I could survive through this sem more smoothly. 8 more weeks to go...

I got a bad new from my mum about my uncle (father youngest brother) got stroke and landed himself in hospital unconsciously. Damn scary because he is so young and just reach 40 only. I'm worried that he might paralysed for his whole life. It was a kind a shock to me and his son is now only 5 years old. Just pray hard he will wake up soon.….What a kind of drama that I have to go through now…really cant imagine.

Nerd Boy Gone Wild......

Story to be continued.....I'm used to be called nerd by friends in school. Nerd boy is the one who always read books all the time and don't spend much time on entertainment like playing games, watching television etc. After I had my course night on Thursday night, some seniors suggested to go for clubbing and some girls agreed to go for clubbing without giving it a second thought but the guys hesitate whether they should go there or not.Take it easy man....at last, the guys including me decided to follow the girls. Around 12 something, we drove down the south to Sunway there and reached the pub called coco-nut (i guess). As I entered the pub or bar, it was total shocking because I didn't expect there will be a loud amplifier and everyone was dancing crazily. We went to search seniors as they arrived earlier than us and finally found them. Seniors passed the drink to us and of course there were insufficient of glasses, so we just shared the drink after one had finished. Imagine how dirty it is.....then we shifted to table near the stage where the DJ was busy playing the hard beat songs and most of my course mates went to the stage and started dancing( dancing like they had taken the ecstasy pills).
Some of them were drunk and their behaviors really stunned me as I'm not used to observe this kind of situation. Around 3am, the pub closed and we headed to mamak stall before going back home. I reached home around 5am and quickly took bath before sleeping for two hours. This is really a nightmare to me and I promise I wouldn't visit it again. I prefer to go to red-box to horn my singing skill or watching late night show at cinema...than this..

Last Thursday, the UPM chemical engineering students had their course night at Mines Resort successfully. The second year students are the committee members in this event. I was given the task to be the program protocol but I didn't do much thing due to my laziness. This year, not much seniors attended the course night because they said it was expensive. What a lame excuse!! Haha just kidding..they have their rights for not attending plus they are having exam for the coming week. There were array of food but some of them were tasteless but still can fill in the stomach. There were also three performances from juniors but the last performance with Phua Chu Kang character really captured the audience's attention and the first two performance really..........speechless......kudos to their efforts. Result Out....

Last weeks, I created a poll regarding the accommodation that undergrads prefer in the Uni and I received total 32 votes only in this poll. Maybe the result wasn't accurate but we can take it as reference. Out of 32 votes, 19 votes go to living outside campus and the balance is staying in the college. Thanks for all visitors who participate in this poll and thank you for your suppport.

Honestly, I don't know which one is better and there are pros and cons between these two choices.

2 weeks at Uni...

I have been in uni for 2 weeks in this semester. I registered myself at college on 5th July and I got a new room mate, Daniel Lai. He is my course mate and my former room mate, Pow, is now staying outside campus. Many of my course mate had moved out and they seemed happy to stay outside campus. I miss them a lot because we used to eat lunch or dinner together at college cafe but now I just eat alone or sometimes with Daniel. However, we still continue with our old tradition that is celebrating course mate's birthday and now we are no longer having our birthday celebrations at mamak stall nearby college residential. Majority have brought their cars and they fetch us to better place (cafe) for celebrating birthday. Actually, it is very convenience to have own transport as you can travel everywhere to eat. Last weekend, I went to Mid Valley shopping mall with course mate by car. It took about 45 minutes to reach there and it feels great to reach there by car as because we do not have to pack ourselves in the Ktm. Some took this chance to buy new clothes for the coming Course Night. Later, we watched Transformers there and ate pizzas for our dinner. About 11 pm, we walked to the counter to pay the packing fees and went home. What a tiring day.....

Cheng Chu Sian...

Last semester, I took archery as my co-curriculum and I did gain a lot of information regarding archery from facilitator. Thanks to him as he gave me grade A for my co-curriculum. At week 14th, we were given the opportunity to organize archery competition among students but I was not qualified in this competition. On the day of competition, I was happy to see Cheng Chu Sian ( he was representing Malaysia in the Beijing Olympic archery) attended the competition. Many avid fans rushed to him and got his signature. For me, I just took photo with him and my friends. He is standing 185 cm tall but I'm standing 178 cm tall only and I wish i can achieve his height. A memorable experience to me...

My part time job.....

Not to waste my sem break, so I took up my part-time job as a shop assistant. At first, I was reluctant to take up this job as I really did not have any passion in fishing equipment. I just give it a try.
Till now, i still don't like my job....left one more week to go. I learn my lesson now and not in hurry to get job next time.

Two Disappointments

After watching the finale of both reality shows recently, I get disappointed because my idols (Danny Gokey frm American Idol and Allison Havard frm ANTM ) didn't win the competitions.
They are really outstanding but we need to accept the fact that there will be a winner and loser in the competition. In brief, I'm catching up the ANTM cycle 12 since April and this time Trya Bank is really biased because she wants a black skin model to win this cycle (arithmetic comes to play if u notice). The black winners are :

His voice doesnt capture my attention really but I'm attracted to his SPECTACLE so I will turn on the tv for several weeks to watch his performance (....not really...to be exact is his spectacle). I wish to have one. Am I weird?

For final showdown, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert are competing for the title last week. I get the opportunity to watch the finale. Everyone know that Adam( strong vocal, rendition....everything) deserves to win but Kris(talented in instrument) is not bad as well. I like the song entitled "No Boundaries" performed by them on that night but the lyrics is a bit strange like Simon said "....mountains....Overall, this show is good to watch. Hopefully, PAula will renew her contract.

Catching Reality Shows

These days, I'm busy catching up reality shows such as American Idol season 8(AI) and American Next Top Model cycle 12(ANTM) Now, I am getting excited as the finals of AI and ANTM draw closer. I'm a huge fan of ANTM since cycle 3 with Naima Nora emerged as winner of that cycle. Now it comes to cycle 12 with Celia, Teyone, Allison(my favourite) and Aminat still in the running for the title. to be continued....

Stupid Exam Question!!!!

Today I'm having my thermodynamic paper and thinking that I am able to do very well. First two questions are easy and I continue with essay part. As I read the question, I know that the question contains errors because the lecturer took the question directly from text book. But he did modify the question in order to make the question more complicated. At the end, the answer turned out to be unlogical at all. When I asked him regarding this, he said my answer was wrong and I tried to recheck my answer but I didnt find any mistake in my calculation steps. So i asked him again and he still insisted that my answer was wrong. I started worry because I didnt want to miss any marks in this paper. So, I proceed with next question. The same thing happens again and now he left out one important info for us to do the calculation. I asked him why there is a missing value in the question and he asked me to read the question again and he tried to walk away. But this time I was smart because I asked him to read the question himself and soon he realised that he forget to put the missing value. He went to his office and almost last 5 minutes of the examination, he shown up and told us the missing value. He didnt extend the examination period and everyone was rushing to do the calculation. I had wasted my time in asking him and cant finish my last calculation. The chance of obtaining A for this subject looks very slim.

Pesta Ang Pow UPM 2009

Have you seen this before?? It is called tangram or 七巧板 in chinese. I was involved in UPM Pesta Ang Pow 2009 carnival and it was held on 14th Feb 2009. The purpose of having this carnival is to promote Chinese cultures to other races. I am sure that other local universities are also organising this event. It was my friend's idea to have this games in the carnival. Coming to UPM, I'm frequently using Mandarin to communicate with friends and now I have learnt a lot of Chinese characters too. Tangram is a one of traditional Chinese games. All you have to do is form one particular shape like cat or house by using this tangram. It seem easy to form but majority hardly form a complete shape. Only genius can do it within seconds. Are you the one?

I hope you all really enjoy seeing it. The reason why i write short entries in my blog is because of time-constrait. Coming to 2 sem, there are a lot of assignments need to be finished up and i need to do revision as the formulas and calculations getting more and more complicated.

Last month, my course mates and I had reunion dinner at South City Plaza vicinity. About 8.00pm we reached the restaurant and we ordered 8 dishes( forget the name already) for that night. Later, we were busy taking photos and about 11.00pm we left the restaurant. It was my first time having reunion dinner with friends. Really enjoying it. Total RM19.00 per person and I think the price is acceptable.

What a tiring day for me?

After we went back to college, we also celebrated one of our fellow coursemates birthday at ANJUNG. We bought the cappuccino cake from South City Plaza shopping mall. The price of the cake is around RM40.00.
