Hey all, I'm just back from Chinese New Year celebration. I applied for 2 weeks holidays and spent the holidays at Ipoh with family and friends. I managed to try many local delicacies with friends during our gathering and I wished that my holidays would last longer than reality.
Time flies really fast as we are approaching to mid of February month. After the CNY celebration, I need to shift my attention to my examination and upcoming works. Yes, you are right! While working, we still need to sit for our examination to gauge the technical competency.
I will blog more often and stay tune for updates

#SPM2013andwhatnext?
It's kinda weird that hashtag is used for the title of this post but sometimes innovation is needed to make things better. When I was listening to radio this morning, the radio DJ said that SPM and STPM examinations began today and it reminded me on how I've gone through the same examination back to 2005.
I could remember that I've to sit for many papers in three consecutive weeks before I declared the independence day began in my life after SPM'05. During the said period, I've sleepless nights and lost my appetite as well. The pressure and stress kept building up in myself and I constantly told myself that I need to excel in this examination as I could not afford to fare worse than what I did for the trial examinations.
Finally, the last day of examination has arrived and I rewarded myself with a scoop of ice-cream from McDonald. I believed that I did well in SPM'05 and now I could only leave everything to God to decide on my fate in the examination results.
After waited for 3 months, the results were released. Although I didn't score straight A1s (my time), my results were outstanding too. I was really proud of myself at that moment. Despite having good results, my scholarship application to further study overseas was rejected by Public Service Department (PSD).
I continued with my form sixth studies and took my STPM in 2007. In 2012, I finished my engineering degree in one of the renowned research universities in Malaysia.
To all students that currently sitting for SPM'13 and STPM'13, good luck and all the best in the examinations. I believe that your future will be same or better than mine and I hope that my stories can be a motivation for all of you.

Now and Then
OMG! This blog is pretty dead and the update is constantly dwindling over the years. Have a look!
It is really pathetic and I think my working life is really taking the leisure time out from me. Nothing much I can shout out this year because it has been a mundane year for me. No oversea trip, no good achievement and the list goes on.
The end of the year will be coming soon and I hope that I will utilize my days and time for better use. Adios!

Why Join MNC?
I want to share my feeling on this topic. It has been 8 months that I've worked with MNC after my graduation. Initially, I felt very proud with myself that I was able to secure the job opportunity from MNC but this feeling was fading by days. Upon receiving the offer letter, I have the mixed feeling because I was sent to Kuantan (which is far from my hometown) but I convinced myself that I need to gain the working experience before I could make the next move. Being the fresh graduate, we can't be very choosy about the jobs. Hence, I took the challenges and travelled to Kuantan last October. For the first few months, I just sat in the classroom for training program and we were exposed to various subjects regarding the company.
Finally, the classroom training program came to the end in February this year and we were segregated to different departments in the company. Three of us were sent to the same department and we were briefed by the manager about the job scope and expectations. After spending 4 months in the department, I didnt feel that I was given the same workloads and job explosure than the rest and I felt that I can't learn much to equip myself with necessary technical knowledge. I spent most of my time reading materials in the office and I don't get the chance to be involved in the engineering project whilst the rest did.
Today my boss asked whether I was busy or not and I replied no. He was shocked when I replied him in this way and he said that I should get myself busy with works because I received high pay from the company. But how am I going to be busy when the boss is not delegating the jobs well between us. At this moment, I can't do anything but I have to be patient and persevere.

Top 5 in 2012 - P&G Business Challenge 2012
P&G Business Challenge!! An event that the final year student should participate in before he/she graduates from university because it has too much to offer.....Actually, it was my second attempt to join this event and I managed to nail it.
The reason why I want to join this event is because it has the similar concept to the popular tv show 'The Apprentice' that made famous by the billionaire, Donald Trump in 2004. During the event, we were divided into 4 groups and we were required to brainstorm on the marketing strategy to be used for selling the particular product. In the end, the group who gained the highest profit would win the challenge.

Top 5 in 2012 - S-SPEC Winner
Happy New Year and I hope it's not too late to wish everyone here. I would like to take this opportunity to do some recaps on what I've achieved in the year of 2012. I'm proud to announce that I'm the grand prize winner of Shell Inter-Varsity Student Paper Presentation Contest (S-SPEC 2012) under undergraduates category. It was my second attempt to win this coveted prize and I had additional RM2,000 in my pocket after the event. In year 2011, I did participate in this competition but I went home with empty handed and this spurred me on joining this event again before I'm officially graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
The highlight of the event was my money got stolen at the night before the event started.
For more information, please log on http://www.utm.my/sspec2013/. Please the opportunity to participate this amazing event and I believe that you won't regret later.

Call Me Maybe ?!
Last week, I went for medical checkup and I also receive offer letter from P's hr. I will attend the training in Bangi on 1/10/12 and this training will last for two weeks. Coincidentally, my convo is held on 13/10/12 (Saturday, morning session) and so I have a day break for myself . The training is pretty intensive because it will be carried out in the weekends and public holiday (if there is) as well. This Thursday, I missed out an important call because I was still sleeping!! I hope that I will receive this call again because this call is important for my future endeavors. I plea to you that you will call me again.

HPM Again?
HPM Again? HPM refers to Hari Pengguna Malaysia and I never failed to participate in the essay writing competition since I noticed it's presence in 2010. I won myself a consolation prize again this year and I also won it in 2010 and 2011 respectively. The good thing is I can have another RM200 in my pocket and the sad thing is I have no fate to win the top prize in HPM.

Random Thought
It has been months since I updated my blog. Yeah....finally I finish my studies at UPM and currently I am looking for a good job. I attended some interviews for the past few months and some offered me the jobs and some didn't work out. I attended P's interview last month and after two weeks, I didn't receive any response from HR. I decided to call him and luckily he picked up my phone. I asked him whether I passed the interview or not and he said I passed the interview and I need to send him the final transcript and letter from university before he can issue me the offer letter. Everything was done orally and I don't feel secure because normally I will do things in black and white so that we can keep track on it, in case anything goes wrong.
If everything goes well, I shall start working in September and I will be based in Kuantan, Pahang. Hopefully the HR guy didn't break his promise and he will issue me the offer letter as soon as possible. Actually, I am hesitate to travel far to Kuantan to start my work because I always wish that my workplace will be somewhere near KL so that I can go back hometown easily during the weekends.
I was happy to receive a call from EM last month and I knew that the phone conversation lasted very short only, probably about 5 minutes. Since then, I'm keep waiting for their call and email everyday because I hope that I will be invited for the face-to-face interview with EM. If I manage to secure it, I will be based in KL and I like it. It has been weeks and they still have not call me for another interview. I felt demotivated and hopefully, they are still screening the potential candidates for an interview, instead of dumping me without any notice because I still have a faith that they will call me one day for an interview. In the earlier phone conversation, I don't feel like they are going to reject my application because they ended the conversation by checking on whether my emailing address was correct or not. This hint is quite obvious to me that they want to contact me again or probably they will not call me again because I think too much.
Anyway, I really hope that I am able to secure a job upon graduation. Seeing other course mates starting their career lives could add more pressure on myself but I still believe that finding a right job is always important so that your career goals can be achieved in the near future. Right now, I still writing a journal for my final year project and I feel lazy to do it. Hopefully more good news will come after this.

Awaiting Hong Kong Trip 2012
Yeah, finally its arrived. Less than 24 hours, I will be boarding and traveling to Hong Kong. It is my first oversea trip this year (2012) and I am really excited to be a part of this trip. There are 7 of us will be heading to Hong Kong tomorrow and we are taking the morning flight (6.00 a.m). Thanks to AirAsia for promotion previously that finally we can fulfill our dreams to fly to Hong Kong. I watched TVB dramas since I was young and I really wish to visit Hong Kong once in my life time. Finally, it comes true and much preparations have been made to make this trip a success one. Arguments and agreements among us cannot be avoided and I hope it doesn't turn out to be hatred later. Hopefully not!
Coming back from Hong Kong later, I need to focus on my final year project and my final sem starts very soon. Really thankful to God for the good results in the sem 7 examination. Job hunting will be carried out soon and more updates will be posted later. Stay tune!

Hi everyone..Welcome back to my blog. After living in Malaysia for 22 years, this is my first visit to KLCC (the highest twin towers in the world to date).
PetroSains entrance
Before visiting twin towers, I went to PetroSains. Really memorable and amazed by science innovations. Children are advisable to visit this place for science exploration.
This view was taken during the bridge visit. Creative right?
Amazing view in the late afternoon
Love the way the bridge joining both towers
The lights were switched on around 7.30pm and KLCC looked spectacular
The highest floor we could treasure was 86th floor. Pretty high isn't it?
A good shot for Public Bank building. The architecture of this bank was really unique and special
Another great shot of Public Bank building
Great outing with friends for KLCC trip. Everyone should visit KLCC twin towers and the fee entrance was quite cheap. Thats all.

Activities!
Last week, my schedule was really packed. I went for L'oreal Brandstorm 2011 preliminary round presentation and unfortunately, my group didn't manage to qualify for semi-finals. Fail to reach next level wasn't a big deal as I enjoyed every moment I had with L'oreal Brandstorm. Good luck to other groups who managed to reach semi-finals and all the best to them. My member and I were determined to participate in the next edition L'oreal Brandstorm and we would give our best to it. Lacking of preparation would be the main factor why my team failed to proceed to the next round. Perhaps I will take part in some L'oreal business games later.
Next thing would be my participation in P&G Business Challenge 2011. I just registered myself last week and I was waiting for their call to bring some good news to me. I'm really interested in joining this challenge and I hope I will advance further in this challenge. Mucha suerte...
CNY 2011 is coming soon and I wish everyone will have a prosperous year ahead and have good health throughout the year.

Back to real business
Almost spent 2 weeks in uni for sem 6 and the first week of lecture classes were always filled with introduction of course syllabus and lab group division. For the past two weeks, my team mate and I were busy preparing PowerPoint slides for L'oreal Brandstorm 2011 and I just sent my team's slides to the Dan (the judge for this competition). Hopefully, my team would be shortlisted for preliminary round and get the opportunity to go to head office of L'oreal next Saturday for short presentation. There are upcoming assignments, lab reports and plant design project waiting for me to compete for the next 12 weeks and I hope I will give them a good shot.

It's time to let go
I just feel like CH's Passion has become my personal diary and now I would like to add another page to my diary. Someone (acts as fortune teller) tell me that no one in my family member really understand me as a person and he says that I'm a kind of person who like to think so much till no one really understand what I need. At first, when I hear his words, I feel like really want to laugh and my response to him is "Really!!". Now I'm convinced that I'm believe in his words. I always imagine that I'm going to have my tertiary studies (undergrads) overseas (did not materialize), having my internship in the multinational company like Trump's Empire (still building castle in the air) and at last I'm able to secure a high-paying job (still a way to go). I believe that the time has come for me to let go all this kind of imagination and dreams. Back to reality by knowing that you can make a difference in your life if you believe in yourself. When one door closes, there will be always another window will open for us to explore and what you sow is what you reap. Hard works will be paid off well when our efforts don't go futile. To conclude, my family member still don't know the way of my thinking.....

Happy 2011 and Back to School
Happy New Year to everyone. Arrived at UPM college around 2pm and it took almost 4 hours to clean up my room. Really tired and exhausted. During sem break, I managed to finish watching Glee season 2 and Desperate Housewives season 7 till episode 10 but didn't have time to start watching Big Bang Theory (BBT). The second half of 2011, I will carry out my internship in Hexza for 2 months and I'm really looking forward to work as chemical engineer trainee in the company. Tomorrow, I will attend my first lecture class at 8am. All the best in 2011....

NACES 2010: Evidence to Success
Early December, I went for NACES 2010 and I managed to win some prizes. I won first place for Technical Essay Writing Competition and third place for Technical PowerPoint Presentation with fellow team mates (Daniel, Weewee and Szeleng). More happy news is UPM was announced as the best univesity in NACES 2010 because we managed to grab top three prizes. Here are the some reports on NACES 2010 made by UPM internal affairs:

Back to November
Finally the gruesome exams were over and I was planning to take some time to relax myself at home before going back to uni on 1st of December to attend Naces 2010. Naces 2010 can be considered as an annual grand event for all chemical engineering students in public and private unis. This time, I was given the opportunity to participate in essay writing competition and technical power point presentation. I was greedy enough to accept the offers and I must admit that I was struggling to divide my time and focus on both competitions. I am hoping that there will be good outing for us in this Naces.
Glad to be able to watch Asian Games report daily on tv but I'm really disappointed at badminton players the most. They can make us proud by grabbing the gold medals for individual event and I will put the blame on BAM for the team competition failure. The back-up players of our country always fail to give good performance in crucial stage and this indicate that our country will not have good players for the coming decade. Personally, I don't know why our players like Koo/Tan and Lee can't handle the pressure of playing in the rubber game. They are easily making the silly mistakes and didn't give a good fight to their oppenents. Their coach always make excuse for their under-performed and they never brave enough to admit that our players are still not good enough. Very disappointing and I wish our badminton players can emulate Nicol DAvid success and she did lose in several matches but she always make quick recovery by winning the next tournament. I'm not saying that our players must win all the tournaments they participate in but at least they will try not to lose to the same opponents easily.
Coming up next....report on course trip and tv shows.........
